How to Make Candles-Tealight Candles

How to Make Candles-Tealight candles are a very effective way of lighting up a room for hours.http://tiny.cc/soytealightkit
If you've ever wondered how candles are made...tealights are a great place to get started.
Only a handful of items are required to get your tealight candles made and these include:
1.Tealight mould-aluminium and plastic being the most popular
2.Pre-tabbed tealight candle wicks
3.Wax- can be soy, parrafin or beeswax
4. Colorant (optional)
5. Fragrance (optional)
Once made your tealight candle can be placed in a hanging tealight candle holder, a crystal tealight candle holder or a glass tealight candle holder
You can even make your own tealight holders out of a wooden log from your back yard...your imagination is the only thing limiting you there.
So now that you know what you need to get started I'll explain how to go about creating your own soy tea light candles as soy wax is probably one of the easiest waxes to start learning the candle making craft on.
Step 1:Prepare your candle mould with a pre-tabbed tea light candle wick
Step 2:If you have decided to use colorant prepare your colorant now. I'm using a wax colour chip and therefore will use the tiniest amount for my tealight candle as I only want a hint of colour. You can also use liquid dye (oil based) or powdered pigment if you desire
Step 3:Prepare your fragrance (optional). Fragrance oils that are candle specific work best. Essential oils also work well.
Step 4:Melt your soy wax in a double boiler or alternately in the microwave (do NOT let your wax boil!)
Step 5:Once your wax is evenly melted add your colorant (optional) and fragrance (also optional) and mix well
Step 6:Pour mixture into your tealight moulds
Step 7:Allow your wax to set and Ensure that your candles are left for at least 12 hours to set before burning.
Step 8:Enjoy your self created candle light and the amazingly tranquil atmosphere it provides
