In a recent, nearly four hour long interview, Putin revealed that he truly believed Obama would save him from drowning.

While it is unlikely the strained relationship between President Obama and Russian President Vladimir Putin will improve anytime soon, Putin apparently thinks the U.S. President would come to his rescue.

In a recent, nearly four hour long session titled ‘Ask Putin Things’ on Russian Television, Putin surprisingly revealed he believed Obama would save his life.

On the show, Putin read a question from someone asking if he thought President Obama would save him if he was drowning. The audience erupted in both laughter and applause. Once the reaction died down, Putin answered the inquiry.

He remarked ‘I don't think I have a close personal relationship with Obama. I think Obama is courageous and a good person, and for sure he would save me.’

While Putin covered many topics during the marathon phone-in session, it should be pointed out, he wasn’t asked if he would return the favor and save Obama if he was the one drowning.
