When animals get disturbed, they don't discriminate in their response.

UK's Prime Minister, David Cameron was reportedly stung by a jellyfish while vacationing with his family on the Spanish island of Lanzarote.

According to witnesses, Cameron went for a swim off Arrieta beach. His enjoyable downtime in the water was cut short, as he quickly ran towards the shore shouting in pain.

It appeared as though he was stung in the arm, as that’s the part of his body he was continuously rubbing. Given that jellyfish have a nearly transparent body, they can be hard to spot underneath the water’s surface.

If a human comes into contact with any of the tentacles, the stings can be seriously painful. One local, Wendy Lambert told reporters that one of her friends warned Cameron about there being tons of jellyfish in the water.

He and his family then got out and walked up on the sand, but for whatever reason Cameron decided to brave it out and went back in the water for a solo swim.

Clearly that turned out to be a poor decision because that’s when he got stung. An unidentified source who knows Cameron later said he didn’t receive medical treatment as the sting was minor.
