Tehran complying with terms of nuclear deal: UN

by PressTV

The UN says Tehran is complying with the terms of last year's landmark nuclear agreement with the P5+1 group of countries.

In its monthly report, the International Atomic Energy Agency says Iran has diluted half of its 20-percent-enriched uranium to a lower grade suitable for use as reactor fuel. The other half of the stockpile is to be changed into a form that is relatively difficult to reconvert to 20 percent. Under the deal that took effect on January 20, Iran has agreed to curb some parts of its nuclear energy program in exchange for a limited easing of Western sanctions. Tehran maintains that its nuclear energy program is peaceful and that it has never sought nuclear weapons.
