A San Antonio man threatened a waitress with a sword he had holstered on his waist last week after he was informed he would have to pay for the tacos he ordered at a South Side restaurant, according to an arrest warrant affidavit.
Adam Kramer, 28, has been charged with aggravated robbery and is still in the Bexar County Jail with a bail amount set at $50,000.
Kramer ordered six tacos from the Alondras De Jalisco Tex-Mex restaurant on South Loop 1604 at around 2:30pm on Dec. 2, according to documents made public Friday. When the waitress let him know how much he owed, he replied that he was going to take them for free.
The waitress told Kramer that he would need to pay for the tacos. That's when Kramer allegedly starting sliding a large sword in and out of a black sheath that was on his waist, according to the affidavit.
The waitress asked a cook to come and deal with Kramer, who had left the building when the telephone in the restaurant rang. Kramer went to his truck before walking back to the restaurant, still allegedly carrying his sword, so the waitress locked the door, released documents said.
The affidavit said, "Mr. Kramer was yelling that he wanted his free tacos or somebody was going to die."
Kramer eventually got over his taco craving, hopped into his truck and drove off. Police arrested him the next day. Looks like the good people of Texas are a lot like people in Florida...who knew?
