Brad Pitt is slated to have a powerful role in an upcoming war film. The title of the flick is ‘The Operators’ and Pitt will hold the role of General Stanley McChrystal.
The movie is based on a book authored by Michael Hastings called ‘The Operators: The Wild and Terrifying Inside Story of America's War in Afghanistan’ which chronicled the high and low points in McChrystal’s career, while he served as the commanding general of both U.S. and international forces in Afghanistan.
The flick should be filled with a fair share of drama. Although McChrystal is now retired, he was shot to unfavorable fame in 2010 after expressing his criticism towards the president, Obama's advisors including Vice President Biden along with James L. Jones and the administration as a whole.
Pitt's own production company, Plan B in collaboration with Brett Ratner's RatPac Entertainment and New Regency will produce the film.
Australian director David Michod will be responsible for writing and directing ‘The Operators’.
