Engaged pairs can opt to tie the knot at a sewage treatment plant near Seattle.
Finding the perfect location for a wedding is certainly not an easy task for couples. Engaged pairs now have a very unique option, as they can opt to tie the knot at a sewage treatment plant near Seattle.
Highlights include video and audio equipment, a dance floor, beautiful outdoor grounds, parking and a catering kitchen. The price for all those features is 2 grand for an eight hour period.
Of course the bride and groom along with the guests will have to put it out of their head that they are right next to the human waste of King County residents. However, as a consolation, the plant is reportedly odor free.
According to a post on The Bridgewater Wastewater Treatment Center’s Facebook page, the LEED Platinum certified Brightwater Center has anything and everything a couple could ever need to make their wedding special.
Delving further into the locale, the spot where the nuptials would take place is just a few steps away from where the sewage is being processed. All the money taken in from the wedding ceremony goes back into environmental education programs.
The director of the plant said one couple has already booked the grounds and the center has received calls from other interested parties.
