According to Box Office Mojo , the Marvel Cinematic Universe is now officially the most successful franchise in film history! After The Winter Soldier 's blockbusting first week, Marvel's total box office gross is $2.47 billion! That officially puts it over Harry Potter , a close second with $2.39 billion, and Star Wars with $1.9 billion! But Marvel can keep putting out two or more big movies every year!

There is going to be a lot of crossover in those movies,” he said. “So we're just not at Spider-Man 4, because we still have a whole other Spider-Man movie and two other movies. So we don't know yet what [Spider-Man 4] is going to be.”
