Four Shia Muslims, including two doctors, have been killed in a fresh spate of violence in Pakistan.
A doctor was shot and killed on Wednesday in the Water Pump neighborhood of the southern port city of Karachi. Another physician, was also targeted on the same day while leaving his hospital in the city's Gulistan-e-Johar area. A Shia lawyer and a youth were also gunned down in Karachi on Thursday. Pro-Taliban militants attack Shia Muslims in Pakistan on a regular basis, often targeting their religious gatherings. The country's Shia leaders have accused the government of failing to provide security for Muslims.
