The Palestinian Authority says Israeli forces have killed more than 1,500 Palestinian children since 2000.
The minister of social affairs revealed the figure on Saturday which marked Palestinian Children's Day. Kamal al-Sharafi added that nearly six-thousand Palestinian children have been injured by Israeli forces over the past 14 years. He also said more than 10-thousand children have been arrested and 200 are currently held by Israel. The minister urged the international community to take measures to protect and support the children. Last year, the United Nations Children's Fund also raised the alarm. It said hundreds of Palestinian children are arrested and interrogated every year by Israeli forces in the occupied West Bank.
