Stop us if you've heard this before...a scientist and his mutant "creations" look to stay a step ahead of the government while seeking out others like them. If you think it sounds like X-Men, you'd be right and while Marvel was on board, Fox certainly wasn't! The studio sued Marvel as Fox had the franchise media rights to X-Men and they claimed this was being billed as a X-Men replacement and thus infringed on their contract. While the show did see air and ran for 66 episodes over three seasons, the suit raged on for most of its run. Audiences for the most part remained blissfully unaware of the feud as they were distracted trying to figure exactly what they were watching.
