Spring is the perfect time to visit Tokyo. In what can be called ‘a feast for the eyes’, the cherry blossoms in the area are nothing short of drop dead gorgeous.
At one local park, visitors are treated to spectacular views along the meandering pathways and the banks of its pond. The beautiful light colored flowers that delicately hang from the trees look white in some lighting and also soft pink.
They effortlessly add a hint of serenity to the surroundings. Scores of both locals and tourists flock to the area to take in the stunning views, walk around, take a boat ride or just sit and relax.
Whatever activity they choose, the cherry blossoms hang elegantly from above them. While walking along designated pedestrian paths is great for getting up close views of the cherry blossoms, the crowds can sometimes hamper peaceful enjoyment.
The most memorable way to see the flowers is by gliding over the water in a boat. Paddle boats, some of which are shaped like a swan, are in abundance and those fortunate enough to land one can explore the cherry blossoms at their own leisurely pace with some elbow room.
The flowers dangle above the glistening surface and completely encompass the water; the end result being a naturally woven exploration path.
