The boy’s 16-year-old stepbrother found him in the closet with nothing but a mattress, malnourished and wearing a diaper.
When the teenager confronted his stepfather, a fight ensued and police were called to the house, but the parents left with their youngest son before authorities could arrive at the scene.
Using cell phone data, police finally located the couple at the hotel where they were hiding.
Both parents are being held at Harris County Jail, and the father Bradley Bleimeyer, who was already out on bail after being arrested for burglary, is being held without bond.
Tammi Bleimeyer, the boy’s stepmother, who has a total of five children and is currently pregnant, had her bond set at two thousand dollars.
