Staten Island bloodbath: Crazed grandfather Heriberto Pagan shoots grandson, kills fiancée
  • 10 years ago
Michael Feliciano and his fiancée Claritle Christina Huerta were shot by his grandfather Heriberto Pagan at their New York home on Friday night.

The rampage stemmed from Pagan's alleged anger over the slow pace of eviction proceedings initiated against his 47-year-old grandson. He wanted Feliciano and his fiancée out of the house.

Huerta reportedly called her husband while he was on his way home to tell him that Pagan arrived at their house furious and wanted to talk to him.

Mere minutes later, Feliciano arrived home and found his fiancée shot in the head, and his 86-year-old grandfather waiting for him with a gun.

He tried to flee, but Pagan still managed to blast him in the cheek.

After shooting both victims in the head at about 6 p.m., Pagan fled in a red Mitsubishi Galant and drove a few blocks away to Clifton Avenue where got out of the car and turned the gun on himself.

Kevin Abernathy, 23, who called the police said he discovered Pagan's car with the passenger door wide-open. Pagan was lying outside the vehicle, unconscious with blood in his hair.

Huerta was later succumbed to her injuries at Staten Island University Hospital North. Feliciano was released from the hospital on Saturday with a bandage on his cheek. The couple's 4-month-old son was in the home and thankfully escaped injury.
