UN: Climate change boosts risk of conflict, hunger

    by PressTV

A new UN report says soaring carbon emissions will intensify the risk of global conflicts, hunger, floods and migration this century.

The report says climate change impacts are already taking place on all continents and across the oceans. However, the world is unprepared for risks from a changing climate. The report also said the impact of climate change was already being felt, and would increase with every additional degree that temperatures rose. It also said gas emissions may cost trillions of dollars in damage to property and ecosystems. The UN report added that global warming increases the likelihood of severe and irreversible impacts.
