This is a video all about Mormons and what they believe, which was part of the "mysterious faiths" week on The Today Show with Matt Lauer. He interviews Brent Belnap, who lies and tells the world that Mormon missionaries are just teaching Mormonism as an "alternative religion", when they actually believe and teach every single damn day, that they are "the one and only true church", on the planet earth. Just more typical lies and deception. By the way, Brent Belnap is a Stake President in Manhattan, New York.

Mormons are, on the whole, decent people, just as many Roman Catholics, Mohammedans and, would you believe it, Methodists, are. The reason for the "doublespeak" is when you believe a thing, you really do believe it! Things that seem logically inconsistent to you and me (like how there can be another Testament of Jesus Christ - Testament means 'Covenant', not 'Scripture.') As for hating Mormons: i try to follow Jesus teaching, which means loving everyone. The trouble is that that Mormon faith - that teaches that Jesus is someone other than the Creator God, that God would leave it up to someone else to rescue His children from sin - the faith that they hold so dear, that faith is hateful to me. No offense meant.

It can be hard to listen when such apparently decent people present this church with such doublespeak. Are they lying deliberately? Are they benign? Do they practice what they preach when a member of their own family resigns from their special club?
