EU Parliament members call for boycott against Israel

    by PressTV

The European Union Parliament has joined a growing international campaign to boycott Israel over its settlement expansion projects.

29 members of the EU Parliament have called for an action to discourage European firms from trading with Israeli settlements. They've made the call in a letter to EU Foreign Policy Chief Catherine Ashton. The EU lawmakers say any economic relations with Israeli settlement construction companies will contribute to Tel Aviv’s violation of international law and human rights abuses. Israel is facing isolation over its aggressive policies against Palestinians. It’s mainly under fire over its ongoing illegal settlement projects.
