Five children have been removed from what is being called a 'horrific' home in Orlando.

Five children have been removed from what is being called a 'horrific' home in Orlando. The residence was reportedly covered in filth.

Knee high levels of trash were stacked up on the floor. It was so bad that authorities had to shovel a path through the garbage in order to get inside. Animal feces coated the doors, walls and floor.

Black mold covered the interior and rotted food was left all over the kitchen.

Child-protection staffers had initially tried to help the family, but due to the conditions inside the house, there was nothing they could do except take the children and alert local police.

The mother, 45-year-old Yolander Lasane, was arrested once law enforcement arrived.

"We found on her facebook page just last week. She wrote "Kill me know. These ***** are out of school tomorrow, all next week and I have no plans to get the hell away from them." [WFTV]

She has been charged with five counts of child neglect. One of the kids reportedly asked police to move him to a foster home so he could have a new family.

The boy can’t eat without being in pain, as his teeth are broken and rotted. Officers said it appeared as though the children hadn’t been bathed in quite some time.

The children are now staying with a family member and the house has been condemned.
