McDonald's Unveils $12 Burger in Switzerland

It seems McDonald's is updating their menu to offer customers some fine dining options. Restaurants in Switzerland are now presenting what is called the Signature Line.

One of the items available is a burger that comes with a $12 price tag. In the world of fast food, 12 bucks isn’t cheap. However the burger does have a few bonuses that can’t be found on the dollar menu.

For starters, it has 'rustic mountain cheese', bacon, rocket lettuce and coleslaw. The main highlight is the 6 ounces of meat, specifically Bell Swiss beef, in between the crusted bread.

The official name of the burger is ‘The Prime', which is fitting, given the cost. Some consumers who have tried it report that the burger is certainly good tasting, but they also commented that it’s overpriced.

The entire ‘Signature Line’ was co-developed by popular Swiss chef René Schudel. A few other items on the privileged menu include flat, chubby French fries and four differing, fine salads.

Americans won’t have a chance to sample the Signature Line anytime soon. The chain has no plans to release the posh items in the U.S.
