STORY: U.S. President Barack Obama at a joint news conference with Italian Prime Minister Matteo Renzi in Rome said the U.S. will take part in the Milan Expo in 2015.

"I already have some volunteers from my staff who want to go, and really make sure the Expo goes smoothly," he said. "I suspect some restaurants and shopping may be on their agenda," he added.

Renzi in turn offered his thanks, saying the dining and shopping help the Italian economy.
