Montélimar, le château des Adhémar

Situé sur les hauteurs de la ville de Montélimar, ce palais médiéval du 12e siècle se compose d'une enceinte fortifiée, d'un logis seigneurial, d'un donjon et d'une chapelle romane. Demeure des Adhémar de Monteil, possession papale puis Dauphinoise, ce château-fort devient à la fin du 16e siècle une citadelle avec de puissants bastions. Propriété du département de la Drôme, il abrite aujourd'hui un centre d'art contemporain.
