Putin submitted the documents to the parliament after Russia’s Constitutional Court ruled that the re-integration of Crimea was legal. In a unanimous vote, the court ruled that Putin had acted legally by signing a treaty to make Crimea part of Russia again. Earlier, the Russian House Speaker said he expects an easy passage on the State Duma. The treaty for the re-integration of Crimea and Sevastopol was signed after Putin’s fiery address to the lawmakers. On Tuesday, Putin, Crimea’s prime minister and the mayor of Sevastopol signed the document.
