Russian Constitutional Court: Crimea re-integration legal

    by PressTV

Russia's Constitutional Court says the country's re-integration of Crimea is legal.

The court has ruled in a unanimous vote that President Vladimir Putin acted legally by signing a treaty to make Crimea part of Russia. The ruling now allows Putin to hand over the treaty to parliament for approval. Meanwhile, the Russian house speaker is expecting an easy passage on the State Duma. The treaty for the re-integration of Crimea and Sevastopol was signed after Putin's fiery address to the parliament. Putin put his signature on the document, which was also signed by Crimean prime minister and the mayor of Sevastopol on Tuesday.
