A SCREAMING ninja jumps and draws his sword just inches away from a woman enjoying her dinner. Restaurant Ninja New York is an interactive, action packed dining experience not for the faint of heart. While paying customers eat, they are subjected to a series of tricks and scares to immerse them in a ninja-themed dining experience. When customers first walk into the restaurant, they are immediately startled by a costumed ninja waiting for them to enter. In their repertoire of tricks, the ‘ninjas' do flips and even create flashes of fire with their hands in a clever illusion. Customers are then led through a dark walkway reminiscent of a feudal Japanese village to their table. Once seated, customers are kept on their toes and are frequently surprised by screaming actors dressed in black ninja outfits, who pop out behind secret walls. Based on the original Ninja restaurant in Japan, Ninja New York opened in 2006 in Manhattan. Many of the ingredients in the dishes are specially imported from Japan - and unique recipes are a well kept-secret. Chef Yusuke Nose says Ninja is about having an entertaining experience while you eat.
