The Bahraini regime continues to violently quash a pro-democracy campaign.
Regime forces have killed yet another protester in the east of the kingdom. Jawad Ahmad Salman died after inhaling toxic tear-gas fired by security forces in Sitra. A funeral procession is to be held in the town later today. Also on Tuesday, a Bahraini court handed jail terms of 5 to 15 years to eight anti-regime protesters. The men are convicted of possessing weapons and explosive devices. Bahrain has been the scene of rallies on a nearly daily basis. Protesters have been calling for democracy and an end to Saudi military presence in Bahrain since 2011.
