Thus far, Jimmy Fallon has handily won the late night television ratings competition, leaving both Jimmy Kimmel and David Letterman in the dust.

He’s also ruling social media with huge presence on Twitter, Facebook, and YouTube.

For example, the week of March 3rd, The Tonight Show brought in around 4 and a half million viewers.

That same week, Kimmel and Letterman each attracted about 2.7 million.

Also notable is that Jimmy Fallon’s audience had the greatest number of the 18-49 demographic so loved by advertisers.

His domination doesn’t end there. In the Jimmy vs. Jimmy social media battle, Fallon’s been pulling in more likes and tweets.

Kimmel is still ahead of him when it comes to YouTube followers, but Fallon has been making a more than respectable showing as of late.

Several recently posted videos of Fallon’s have received millions of views, far outperforming previous host Jay Leno’s offerings.

Industry experts do note that some of Fallon’s success can be attributed to his presence being new and people being curious.

Also pointed out is that he likely gained great advantage from the Olympics lead-in to The Tonight Show.
