An ice cream shop located in Busan, Korea has a laboratory theme.

There are certainly some cool new trends when it comes to ice cream.

Instead of hopping on the organic bandwagon, many Korean natives are choosing to sample ice cream made by scientists.

A shop located in Busan, Korea has a laboratory theme. As part of the gimmicky business, staffers wear white lab coats. The ice cream is made in laboratory flasks.

The flavored treats are poured out of those flasks. Extra toppings are added right in front of the customer with help from syringes and droppers. The whole idea of the business isn’t just limited to the visual theme, as the freezing process behind the ice cream involves the use of liquid nitrogen.

A blowtorch is also used in the ice cream creations depending upon on the customer’s flavor of choice. Currently the shop offers four flavors; Pure Milk Gelato, Creme Brulee, Strawberry & Cream, and Mascarpone Tiramisu.

It seems the scientific business idea is quite successful, as typical wait times are reported to be about 30 minutes on average.

How do you like the idea? Would you want to try this ice cream?
