Unbeknownst to his friends and family, Walter George Bruhl, Junior of Newark, Delaware took a bit of time out of his life to pen his own, rather humorous, obituary.

His relatives only learned of it after he passed away on March 9th.

Bruhl’s grandson honored his deceased grandfather’s words by posting them on Reddit, and since, the obit has been spreading across the Internet, fill-in-the-blanks and all.

In it, he outlines his personal highlights, work history, and memorial wishes, and offers predictions what will likely happen after he’s gone.

Of his employment Bruhl warmly remembers the 31 years he was gainfully employed by DuPont, the anniversary dinner they threw, and, of course, the time they downsized him.

He notes that they did hire him back as a consultant to perform the same job he’d been doing.

His funeral wish, which he was confident wouldn’t be carried out, was that he be propped up in a corner, holding a glass of Jack Daniels so as to look natural. )

Bruhl asked that instead of sending flowers, people just do something nice for the living.
