Students raising money to help orphans in Ghana tapped into the power of Justin Bieber to help them reach their 500-dollar goal.

According to King 5, they played Justin Bieber’s Song ‘Baby’ on repeat and refused to turn it off until their classmates help them reach their target.

The effort was highly successful, pulling in nearly double the desired amount.

It’s said that even fans of the musician ended up giving because hearing the song over and over was starting to get to them.

Early donators wanted the music gone as quickly as possible.

One student lamented, “Oh my God my head is about to explode right now. I’m pretty sure I’ve had five Ibuprofen already.”

Another said that she’d had enough and really wanted to go home.

The student council, who organized the fundraiser, said that as the goal’s been met they won’t be torturing the student body with the Bieber song anymore.

Fundraising efforts will, however continue as the group now hopes to raise 1200 dollars for the charitable cause.

If collected, the money will be able to provide food and school necessities to the children through April.
