According to the department, Oliver is the man holding the dog and Yates is responsible for taking the picture and posting it to Twitter.

Both men, aged 20 have been charged with ‘torturing and injuring an animal’. Authorities at the college confirmed the two males are students there.

The incident involving the canine, named Mya occurred off campus. Yates and Oliver had allegedly been at a house party when they decided to take the photo of Mya drinking from a beer keg. Mya’s owner was not home at the time.
