Minority groups fear future in Crimea

Minority groups in Crimea are worried that they are not being heard and some are even forming community patrols to protect themselves.

Around 300 unarmed men deploy in shifts around the Fantane, a Tatar neighbourhood in Simferopol.

They could not fight off a pro-Russian militia if it came, but at least they could try to avoid any provocation.

Pro-Russia propaganda dominates the public debate in Crimea, leaving little space for other ethnic groups to voice their opposition to what some are calling the Russian invasion.

Al Jazeera's Hoda Abdel-Hamid reports from Bakhchysarai, Crimea.
