Ukrainian paratroopers, fighter jets prep for exercises

Ukraine's military released this footage on Sunday -- an airborne paratroop unit returning from training.

The training location was not disclosed.

There's been media speculation about Ukraine's military plans after Russian forces took control of Crimea.

Ukraine's Defense Minister denied plans to send forces into the region.

He said the only troop movements might be from one base to another for training exercises.

The military also released footage of fully armed fighter jets at an airbase in the west of the country.

It's said to be shot Sunday.

One of the pilots said he was ready for action if needed:

(SOUNDBITE) (Ukrainian) COLONEL, SERGEI GOLUBTSOV, SAYING:

"We are united with the Ukrainian officers in Crimea now, doing their jobs over there. We want to show them that we are ready to support them. We are ready to help them any time."
