Creative director Bill Gaytten tells us, “It’s really feminine, and I think it’s really about luxury. It’s a lot of techniques. A lot of velvet, a lot of fur, mink, gazelle, and then there’s a lot of bonding techniques using velvet to imitate crocodile and snakeskin. It’s luxury.” We meet up with world renowned hair stylist Orlando Pita, who tells us, “The hair today is very graphic. It’s very simple: kind of a side part but there’s panels to the hairdo because . . . some of the dresses have panels of fabric that meet together to form the whole dress, so we are kind of mimicking that in the hairstyle.”
