Ukrainian border guards say Russian soldiers evicted them from Crimean post

    by PressTV

Russia says it's ready to discuss ways and means of getting out of the current crisis in Ukraine.

According to Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov, Moscow is open to an honest, equal and objective dialog with foreign states-- in a clear reference to the West. Lavrov further accused Ukraine’s interim government of taking orders from extremists. He also called for an investigation into deadly attacks on protesters during anti-government rallies in Kiev including those carried out by snipers. The top diplomat said the incident can no longer be swept under the carpet. The issue grabbed headlines after a phone conversation between EU Foreign Policy Chief Catherine Ashton and Estonian Foreign Minister Urmas Paet was leaked online. Paet said that ousted Ukrainian president Viktor Yanukovych was not behind the fatal shootings and that the shooters had been hired by the opposition.
