American civil rights lawyer and Mayor of Jackson Mississippi, Chokwe Lumumba died last week. Now Mississippi’s Hinds County Supervisor, Kenny Stokes says he believes Lumumba was killed.
The county supervisor is demanding that doctors carry out a thorough autopsy to determine the cause of his death. Lumumba once called for an independent black-majority country in the US southeast. As a political activist, he also campaigned to pressure US authorities to pay billions of dollars to African Americans as reparations for their ancestors’ enslavement.
