    by PressTV

Ukraine’s border guard service says Russian navy ships have blocked off the Kerch Strait which separates the strategic peninsula of Crimea from Russia.

The guards say two Russian ships have blocked the Strait from the south and the north. They say Russian servicemen are in control of the Crimean side of the channel. And that, Russian armoured vehicles have been sighted on the Russian side. The Russian military has not made any comments yet. Tensions are running high in Ukraine’s Crimea region as it’s seeking greater autonomy from the Kiev government. This comes at a time when Ukraine is struggling with a political crisis.
