The UK Prince Charles has recently flown to Saudi Arabia to take part in a Saudi traditional sword dance known as 'Arda' in Riyadh.

On February 18, Prince Charles wearing the traditional Saudi costume, danced with Saudi Princes during Janadriya culture festival at Der'iya. Charles was in Saudi Arabia at the request of the UK government’s Foreign and Commonwealth Office.

The next day, Saudi Arabia and the arms company BAE Systems announced they had finalized their multi-billion-pounds weapons deal. Just last month, Prince Andrew was promoting BAE’s jets to Saudi ally Bahrain.

This episode of The Monarchy reviews the issue and asks: What is the truth behind the British Royals’ ceremonial and their so-called apolitical role?

Issues, including the Saudi human rights record, the Scottish independence and its effect on its people, the UK drone strikes across the globe, Britons receiving training in Syria and much more, are all touched upon in this episode of the show.
