A shocking fight between a python and a croc went down in Queensland, Australia. The snake won the battle hands down.

In a battle between a croc and a snake, which creature would you put your money on? In a fight that went down in Queensland, Australia, the snake won hands down.

Locals gathered on Lake Moondarra to watch and take photos of the strange confrontation. A terrifyingly huge water python can clearly be seen eating the freshwater, 3 foot long crocodile.

The battle lasted for about 5 hours. One of the witnesses, Tiffany Corlis said ‘The crocodile was fighting at the start, it was trying to keep its head out of water and survive. But as the morning progressed you could tell both of them were getting a little weaker as the struggle was going on, finally the croc sort of gave in’.

After the snake devoured the helpless crocodile, Corlis claimed its legs and scales were spotted in the python’s belly. Although the fight may seem to be bizarre, a Snake expert from the University of Queensland’s School of Biological Science, Bryan Fry said quarrels between pythons and crocs aren’t all that unusual.

According to Fry, water pythons typically go after rodents and other small animals, however crocodiles are easier for them to catch off guard.
