Police disperses ‘counter-revolution’ protesters in Tunisia

    by PressTV

Following this weeks’ arrest of 31 members from the League for the protection of the revolution, civil society activists staged a protest in Tunis to denounce what they described as the return of the ousted regime to power.

Protesters who defied the Interior Ministry’s ban were dispersed by force. Dozens were arrested.

Hundreds of officers were deployed near the Prime Minister’s Office to prevent public meetings which could turn into demonstrations against the remnants of the former regime

The 2011 revolution ended the rule of a dictator who was not held accountable for his crimes against the people of Tunisia. Now that the agents of Zine El Abidine Ben Ali are apparently regaining confidence again, Tunisians say they will not tolerate a return of the ousted regime to power.
