    Imam Khomeini Foundation helping Afghans

    Since the early 1990s, the Imam Khomeini Relief Foundation, an Iranian charitable organization, has been operating in Afghanistan. It has reached out to more and more Afghans in need over the years, highlighting the deep-rooted affinity between the two nations. Amin Alemi reports from Kabul.

    Egypt's interim government is celebrating a majority yes vote on its new constitution as a vote of approval for the military leaders who ousted President Mohammed Morsi. But for opposition groups, the referendum last month marked the beginning of the end as Egypt enters its third year of revolution, and is now preparing for presidential elections.
