95-Year-Old Sexually Assaulted in Her Own Home

In one disturbing and heartbreaking report, a 95-year-old woman was recently sexually assaulted in her own home.
Crimes against the elderly are absolutely maddening. In one disturbing and heartbreaking report, a 95-year-old woman was recently sexually assaulted in her own home.
According to Prince George's County Police, a man entered the 95-year-old lady’s house located in Riverdale, Maryland. She met face to face with the suspect after she heard a noise and got up to investigate.
Right away, the man latched on to the elderly woman and sexually assaulted her. He then fled from the home.
The police were called to the scene directly following the rape. According to the victim, she forgot to lock her back door, which is where she believed the intruder gained entry.
Unfortunately, detectives were not immediately able to locate the man. As part of their investigation, they went from door to door interviewing neighbors. They also conducted a thorough search using K9 units.
Said the county police chief, Mark Magaw ‘All sexual assaults are intolerable, but for a man to target such a vulnerable member of our community is egregious. Our detectives are committed to finding and arresting this suspect.’
