Lotus has released a stunning new motorcycle.
Talk about a serious bike. Lotus cars, the UK based manufacturer of sports and racing autos, can now add a motorcycle to their impressive lineup of road worthy vehicles.
Named the C-01, the newest offering is the company’s first step into the two wheeled market, and was developed in collaboration with German racing team, Kodewa, and was designed by Daniel Simon. The bike is a beast.
Simon detailed it best stating “We have worked hard to create a motorcycle with very distinctive features such as a clean main body, an extremely low side profile, a bold stance, a unique air intake, logical partline solutions and clean graphics.”
The C-01’s speed performance is superior thanks to a 200 horsepower, 1,195-cc V-twin engine. Safety and durability aren’t comprised either.
Aerospace quality steel, carbon fiber and titanium make up the body. As for the visual appearance, the front forks are raked outwards and the wheel base is extended. A wide tire rests in the back.
There is no word yet on the price, but the company did say that production was limited to only 100 bikes. What do you think of the Lotus C-01?
