The director of the Atomic Energy Organization of Iran says TEHRAN determines the level of the country's uranium enrichment based on its needs.
Ali Akbar Salehi reiterated that enrichment is a red line for Iran. He also pointed to the statements made by the top US nuclear negotiator, Wendy Sherman, about Iran's right to enrichment. Salehi said what Sherman forthrightly stated was also clearly mentioned in the joint plan of action. He went on to say that the P5+1 group has accepted Iran's right to enrichment and this was repeated by the US undersecretary of state for political affairs. Speaking in Israel on Saturday, Sherman said that in the final deal with Iran, the country will be able to continue uranium enrichment. She added that it is an unlikely expectation to ask Iran for zero enrichment.
