One of Australia's most-visited natural attractions is the Blue Mountains, located just 100 kilometers west of downtown Sydney.
For generations it's been a refuge from city life.
European settlers perceived a "Blue" tint in the mountains. They at first appeared impassable, and some even thought that China lay on the other side.
