One of the world’s most-wanted drug traffickers has been captured in Mexico.
Huakin Goosmaan, known as El Chapo or shorty was arrested after a thirteen-year-manhunt at a hotel in the seaside resort town of Mazatlan. He’s the head of the infamous Sinaloa Cartel. His cartel has smuggled billions of dollars of drugs into the US, Europe and Asia and fought brutal wars with other Mexican gangs. Washington had earlier offered a five million dollar reward for information about the drug kingpin. US Attorney General, Eric Holder, has hailed Goosmaan's arrest as a landmark achievement and a victory for both Mexico and the United States. The US Homeland Security Department says its investigations helped in the arrest of the drug lord.
