There ain't no rest for the wickedly (wicked', if you're Breeze star and Nor'Easter Carie Small) good Tampa Breeze and Philadelphia Passion as they face off in a battle of unbeatens on Thursday, 01/13/11, in Tampa. Tampa has risen to expectations all season long, but the Passion are hungry to prove they are the true class of the East..
The Philadelphia Passion has long been known as an offensive powerhouse, but this year they are doing it on defense as well. Jaleesa McCrary and Heather Roy lead a deceptively quick and powerful defense that has held opposing teams to less than 20 points per game. Roy has been a phenomenal run-stopper, and McCrary has smothered opposing receivers, and together they have made it difficult for opposing teams to find a rhythm. Look for Philadelphia to be physical early, and if they can make the Breeze uncomfortable for the first time this year, then the Passion has a chance to make a statement this game with a victory.
