Host Rob Sachs talks with Jeremy Hicks, a Russian lecturer at Queen Mary University of London, to discuss this era of history.

By shifting away from the traditional British and American news reels of the time, author and historian Jeremy Hicks sheds new light on how the former Soviet Union viewed Nazi Germany's Adolf Hitler and what was done to stop him. In his new book “Soviet Cinema and the Genocide of the Jews, 1938–1946,” Hicks looks at how the Soviets exposed the real plans of Nazi Germany.
