In 1976, drummer Fred Cass had gotten a grant to make an independent film titled 'Hot Throat'. This film was made to display Fred's songwriting and talents of his band Fred Cass & The Cassettes. Recruiting local musicians including Stephen Cummings (Pelaco Brothers, later Sports), Jim Niven (later Sports), Graham "Shirley" Strachan(Skyhooks), and Red Symons (Skyhooks).

Stephen Cummings moved to stardom in the Sports and later had a successful solo career.
