On the camera front, rumor is that the Galaxy S5 will sport a 16-megapixel camera, up from 13 in the current generation. While this still wouldn't touch some of the more camera-heavy phones out there, like the Nokia Lumia 1020 at 41 megapixels, or even the Sony Xperia Z1's 20.7 megapixels, it would still be a step in the right direction. Samsung usually shoots for the middle of the road in the camera department, and this would be another step in line with that strategy. As we know, though, there's a lot more to camera performance besides the number of pixels the camera manages to squeeze into its sensor. It's still possible that the Galaxy S5 could be doing something interesting on the hardware or software side that could provide a meaningful leap in performance, because we can't tell at this point from specs alone. Nonetheless, if you were happy with the camera on the Galaxy S4, we think it goes without saying that the Galaxy S5 is unlikely to disappoint you.
