The Monuments Men movie mirrors real life Nazi art rescue

The Monuments Men movie, based on true events tells the story of a platoon in the Second World War charged with rescuing artwork from the Nazi party.

Its release comes as the US government handed over a painting by German artist Johann Conrad Seekatz to Poland.

The picture, which dates from 1768, had been stolen from the National Museum in Warsaw sometime in 1944.
